NOAA Science on a Sphere virtual reality experience to be highlighted at COP27

NOAA's NIHHIS along with partners at NESDIS's data visualization lab and NOAA's Science on a Sphere have developed a virtual reality experience that will be highlighted by the US Government at the US Center during COP27. The VR experience will let users get to know the urban heat island of Washington DC in a way they never have before. The experience will also take users on a tour of Washington DC to some of the hottest and coolest neighborhoods in the city as well as locations that are actively trying to mitigate their urban heat islands.
