In March 2023, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) established the Air Quality and Community Health Research Subcommittee (ACRS) of the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), led jointly by NOAA, EPA and NIEHS. This week, ACRS launched a website to showcase their work. The subcommittee meets regularly and coordinates across agencies to advance important research on air quality and associated community-level health impacts and exposure disparities, focusing on communities most vulnerable to poor air quality.
